Hey Y'all!

What can I tell you about life in general...

I've been enjoying my time off. I'm a temporary stay-at-home dad. It's actually been pretty fun for the most part. Max was really sick about a week ago. Must have had a flu or something. He was very lethargic and content to just sit in your arms all day. Eventually his temperature went up to 102.5 and we took him into the hospital to make sure everything was okay. And it was. The next day his temperature was down and within a couple of days he was back to his normal self.

Christmas is 2 days away and I think we are pretty much ready. Just have to pick up a few things for Max's stocking and that's it. Friday we are going to one of the local churches to do some caroling...yes, I can sing! Then we are off to my sister's place later that night for some drinks and games. Christmas day we'll do our own thing with the 3 of us before heading over to Shawna's parents for lunch, etc. We'll probably hang out over there most of the day. For Christmas dinner we are going to Shawna's aunt and uncle's. There'll probably be 20-30 people for dinner. My side of the family is having Christmas with my sister's in-laws. Boxing day we are having brunch with Shawna's family, then its off to my mom's for dinner! So, technically its all planned out..we'll see if it all WORKS out!

Shawna continues to enjoy her job. They had their Christmas party/dinner last night. It was pretty good. Seems like she works with some really nice people. They are talking about moving their base of operations into Winnipeg within the next year. This will coincide nicely with our move-once-a-year plan!

Oh! We are also getting a visit from our former pooch, Rocky, around Christmas. The family we gave him to in Lethbridge are coming home to Portage for Christmas, so that will be nice. I wonder if he'll recognize us?

That's it! Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Great New Year!

The biology results are finally in! And they are as follows...

C+ (69%)

I'm pretty happy with this one. I was hoping to get into B territory (70-79%) and was one correct question away. But all in all not a bad score considering I got 55% on the last biology exam. Next term biology deals entirely with animals (rather than plants), so that should be better.

Hopefully I'll squeeze in one more update before Christmas that focuses on things other than grades.

More exam results...

Chemistry B (67%)
Physics B (70%)

Final grade for Chemistry will be a B
Final grade for Physics will be a C+

Although, these are both half courses and they will be weighted against the next versions of chemistry and physics that I take starting in january.

Should have biology results on friday.

Okay..so what's up?

Shawna, Max and I moved into our new apartment on nov. 14th. Which is nice. It's a 2 bedroom with a dining room and small storage area. It's got alot of room for an apartment and is in a pretty decent location. So, we're happy with that.

Shawna quit her warehouse one job this week and just finished her last day today. She is very happy about that. She starts a new job at the Delta Waterfowl Research Station on wednesday. It's more money per hour and is 8-5...monday to friday! Which is awesome! We are both very excited about that! Her duties will include bookeeping and communications with donaters, etc.

What else? This is my last week of classes for this term!! I have a psychology exam this tuesday, then chemistry, physics, and biology 3 days in a row starting next monday! Then I'll have a nice cushion from december 15th to january 5th to get fat on christmas cookies and chocolate! Mmmmmm...chocolate...

Next biology term we are dissecting a rat, starfish, crayfish, and a worm (yes, a worm). Should be more interesting than looking through the microscope at the cell of a plant which is pretty much all we've done so far in the labs.

Played hockey for the first time in 8 months on friday night. Ahh, to be 17 again. I really need to get in shape, but...eh...what are ya gonna do, right?

That's about it for now. This next week will be filled with studying and not much else. Psychology exam results should be up by next weekend.
